2023 Event Offerings

Fright Fest officially began at Fiesta Texas in 1996 after Time Warner and Six Flags took over management of the park. Fiesta Texas notorious for award-winning live entertainment and Fright Fest is no exception. With its current inception beginning in 2001, Monster Mash Bash helped win Fiesta Texas the Golden Ticket for “Best Theme Park Shows” ten years in a row. The production continues to be a popular Halloween staple.

Today, Six Flags Fiesta Texas provides guests with numerous live shows, haunted houses and scare zones. After a one-year hiatus, 2021 featured the return of Fright Fest and Monster Mash Bash, which was led by the maniacal Dr. Diabolical character. The park continues to extend their offerings, including a haunting refresh of Poltergeist and a growing selection of large-scale, spooky decor pieces.

Fiesta Texas is famously known for award-winning entertainment and Fright Fest is no exception. Shows are free with park admission. We recommend arriving to performance venues earlier than planned as these entertainment offerings are quite popular.

The Arrival

Whistle Stop, Crackaxle Canyon
The Arrival makes its long-awaited return to Crackaxle Canyon for 2023! Gather at the Whistle Stop train station as Fright Fest monsters and ghouls mark their arrival on the Fiesta Texas Railroad.
Curse of the Zombie Prom

Zaragoza Theatre
Curse of the Zombie Prom makes its return to Zaragoza Theatre in 2023. Set your VCRs and travel back to the 1980s for a production that is appropriate for guests of all ages.
Frightful Finale

Lone Star Lil’s Amphitheater
Back by popular demand, this Halloween-themed nighttime extravaganza features fireworks, drones, dancing fountains, multimedia effects, special characters and a matching soundtrack.

Heading to Fright Fest for 2023, Motley Ghouls is an all-new spooky production that is featured in the park’s Crackaxle Canyon section.

Haunted Houses at Fiesta Texas provide an upgraded spooky experience to guests. These attractions require an additional fee. Please note that haunted houses feature intense themes, strobe lighting, fog and other effects.

Buried Alive

Crackaxle Canyon
Forgotten under the streets of Crackaxle Canyon is an abandoned mine shaft. Make your way underground to soon realize that you are not alone. These catacombs are thriving with skeleton ghosts, crazy rituals and maggots (just to name a few).
House of Houngan - Curse of the Rougarou

Spassburg
Returning for 2023, the old Voodoo shop has become infested with the creatures that nightmares are made of. Stop by for a spell and come face-to-face with the legend of the Rougarou.
RockKill High School

Rockville High School
RockKill High School returns for the 2023 season, full of frights. Venture into the hallways for a tour RockKill High with your fellow mates. Beware, however, as the school’s students are hungry and act a little strange around fresh meat.
Slaughterhouse 6 Xtreme - The Butchering

Crackaxle Canyon
A revamp of the classic Slaughterhouse 6, this version is more gruesome and terrifying than ever. The new owners of this once abandoned butchery are dying to “meat” you.
Trapped

Spassburg
Returning in 2023, beware of this haunted attraction as it is easy to become lost and disoriented. Each path leads to another dead end. Try to escape if you can as what lurks around hidden corners is something far more sinister.
Twisted: Theatre of Torment

Fiesta Bay Boardwalk
For 2023, Six Flags Fiesta Texas introduces the new Twisted: Theatre of Torment haunted house. Featuring Mr. Tangled and his spooky monsters, the new house will bring horror to those who enter.

Scare Zones

Free with your park admission, scare zones are themed areas throughout the park that feature monsters whose purpose it to frighten those passing by. The park recommends that guests sensitive to these conditions enjoy the park during the day. Scare zones feature strobe lighting, fog and other intense effects.

Scare zones are activated at 7:00pm after The Arrival in Crackaxle Canyon.

Carnival of Terror

Fiesta Bay Boardwalk
New for 2023, Fiesta Texas welcomes a second scare zone to the Boardwalk with the Carnival of Terror. Beware as the area fills up with unknown carnival horrors ready to scare the unsuspecting.
Fear Acres

Crackaxle Canyon
Fear Acres takes over Crackaxle Canyon, featuring rustic, gigantic haunted barns and other outbuildings. Keep your eyes peeled for creepy encounters in this eerie setting.
Hell Valley Cemetery - Grave Danger

Fiesta Bay Boardwalk
Tread lightly through Fiesta Bay Boardwalk around the forgotten tombstones and grave sites. Beware of encounters with the dead as they can always make room for more.
Infestation

Rockville
As meteorites continue to fall from the sky, life around town isn’t quite the same anymore. Inspired by 1950s B-flicks, what are these large, alien-like creatures that continue to hatch throughout the town?
Soul Harvest

Los Festivales
This spooky, dilapidated barn setting takes over the streets of Texas State Square and Los Festivales. Beware of mysterious creatures and gigantic Jack-o-Lantern monster lurking in the fog.
Steam Punkins

Crackaxle Canyon
Located throughout Crackaxle Canyon are carved “steam punkin” decor pieces, featuring Jack-o-Lantern style festoon lights. Beware of monsters roaming this area after dark. They feed on your fear.
Wicked Hollow - Nosferatu's Return

Spassburg
Wicked Hollow transforms as Nosferatu, the first vampire movie created, turns 100 years old. Nosferatu, posing as Count Oriok, recently reclaimed the village. He and his vampire mob plan to continue their bloody reign terror on this small village. You’ve been warned.
