Another Chicken Fry Recipe to add in my blog..Is it because my love for fried chicken has made me create a whole list of fried chicken recipes in this blog.I love love fried chicken and i also love grilled and roasted chicken. In the End i love chicken..My favorite fried chicken is Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Crumbed Fried Chicken & Spicy Fried Chickenand lets not miss the popcorn chicken fry.
This is one more way of making fried chicken. It is from mangalore, it has some ground fresh herbs in the marinate and rice flour which makes it crispy. Loved it..You have to try it to enjoy the super taste of it..Let me know how it turns out for u..

Ingredients for Chicken Bezule Recipe
- Chicken - 500 grams cut into large pieces or small (your choice)
- Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp or to taste
- Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi - 1 tsp
- Cumin Powder / Jeera Podi - 2 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder - 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Red Food Colouring a pinch
- Egg - 1
- All Purpose Flour / Maida - 3 tbsp
- Rice Flour / Arisi Mavu - 3 tbsp
- Lemon Juice - 2 tbsp
- Oil for Deep Frying
For Grinding:
- Curry Leaves - a handful
- Coriander Leaves - ½ cup chopped
- Mint Leaves - ½ cup chopped
- Ginger - 5 cm piece peeled
- Garlic - 10 cloves
- Green Chillies - 5
How to make Chicken Bezule
- Take all the grinding ingredients in a blender and make it into a coarse puree.
- Now take cleaned chicken in a bowl, add in the puree, along with all ingredients given in the list except oil, maida and rice flour.
- Mix well and leave this to marinate overnight or 3 to 4 hours.
- Now add in maida and rice flour and mix well.
- Heat oil for deep frying and fry the chicken in batches on a low to medium heat for 15 to 20 mins.
- Now increase the heat to a high and fry it for 5 to 10 mins till it turns crispy.
- Drain in paper towel and serve.

Ingredients

Hi Aarthi,
I am a great fan of your grill chicken recipes.I have tried almost all the recipes and the best is thai sticky chicken. This Mangalorean fried chicken looks awesome,just a question can I bake the chicken instead of deep fry.Thanks,
